The 1st International Conference on Women Entrepreneurship Challenges and Opportunities (ICWECO) is a unique and premier platform that will provide exciting and productive opportunities for research scholars, academicians and students to discuss and share the latest research results, knowledge, ideas, current trends, and future directions about all the aspects of Women Entrepreneurship. Technology Incubation Center (TIC) has been established in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Sindh, Jamshoro. TIC provides emerging entrepreneurs with the opportunity to start their own businesses. By providing young entrepreneurs with the necessary framework, infrastructure, mentorship, and networking national as well as International prospects. This will help them to start their own business and establish an enterprise.
The research on entrepreneurship and specially, women entrepreneurship is considered as an important research area of 21st century. Moreover, women entrepreneurs are being recognized as an emerging human resource that has the potential to overcome the modern day economic and social challenges. In the modern day economies, there are many factors within the entrepreneurial ecosystem that do not support woman entrepreneurs. This includes attitude and employment practices. However, the recent global crises such as climate change and Covid-19 have opened new avenues to engage women to overcome the modern economic challenges of the countries.
The purpose of this conference is to explore challenges and opportunities of women entrepreneurship in Pakistan. Considering the above facts, this conference has direct relevance to existing national needs, because many sectors in Pakistan need to encourage women to become a part of the country’s overall economic development. This conference will provide scientific significance to handle such challenges by discussing the latest developments in this emerging area

The theme of 1st International Conference is focused on Women Entrepreneurship in Pakistan along with various Challenges and Opportunities centered on the developing of independent female women leadership. Women leadership is key to development opportunities and transforming technical skills into viable entrepreneurs in current times. The transformational power of female leadership is in itself a resource that can and will make an impact on the economy and society.
